HUNT IMAGING ANNOUNCES ISO 9002 CERTIFICATION

Stamford, CT; August 2, 1999 – Hunt Imaging, a manufacturer of liquid and dry toners, developers and related consumables for digital imaging is pleased to announce that both of its manufacturing plants — in Berea, Ohio in the U.S. and in Antwerp, Belgium — have achieved ISO 9002 certification. Final ISO 9002 audits took place in May 1999; the audits were conducted by Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. in Ohio and by Bureau Veritas Quality International in Belgium.

The ISO 9002 Quality Management System is recognized worldwide. To achieve certification, Hunt had to document its key business processes and establish a Quality System Manual and a series of standard operating procedures and work instructions that met all the requirements of the ISO 9002 standard.

” Our ISO 9002 certification is an achievement that involved every single employee of the company,” says Bill Schmitt, President and CEO of Hunt Imaging. “It demonstrates a clear commitment to achieve world class quality not just on the part of management but by all employees, including those on the manufacturing floor.”

Adds Peter Calabrese, Vice President Operations and Research (based in Berea, OH), “The majority of our customers are OEMs for whom consistency and quality are paramount. Our ISO 9002 certification will enhance our reputation with our customers and will help open new markets for us in manufacturing and classifying of toners and other fine ground products.”

Ms. Viviane De Decker, Manager of European Operations (based in Antwerp, Belgium) concludes, “Our customers in Europe are extremely quality conscious and hence they asked us to become ISO certified. Achieving this certification assures us and our customers that Hunt Imaging has implemented and follows the highest level of quality control and manufacturing process controls available.”
